The HKF Badged Bursaries Scheme
The Helena Kennedy Foundation has developed the concept of the 'badged bursary' as a means of attracting more students from disadvantaged backgrounds into specific universities, degree courses and areas of employment. Badged bursaries are funded by organisations that support the Foundation's purpose and mission and want to target this support directly to students without incurring significant administrative burden and cost themselves, as all these processes are handled by the Foundation on behalf of the supporting organisation. The key benefits to organisations that badge HKF bursaries are:
- Access to a market of over 4 million students who study in the adult, further and higher education sector
- Opportunities to raise the profile of your organisation and to demonstrate your commitment to tackling social exclusion and injustice
- Possibilities for marketing, promotional and PR and advertising activities in a sector which has over £9bn of public funding to spend annually
Organisations who are currently supporting students by having sponsored badged bursaries are listed below. Our heartfelt thanks go out to these organisations without whom we would not be able to offer the financial support so vital to disadvantaged students.
