Shahida is responsible for all aspects of the charity’s strategy and delivery. She has been managing the successful national charity for over 10 years and helped to develop new partnerships to support students affected by disadvantages. Before working at the Foundation, she focused on welfare to work and adult education programmes and also worked for many years in the creative sector targeting ‘harder to reach’ communities.

She is passionate about helping individuals to reach their full potential and make a difference to help create a fairer world.

In her spare time she also enjoys taking care of her allotment and supporting a number of other local community organisations.
